Entertaining Shorts 2019
Stage Write Burlington members were heavily involved in the 2019 Burloak Theatre Group production of Entertaining Shorts. There were seven plays produced this year, three of which were previously workshopped by Stage Write Burlington. George Marciniak was the executive producer and plays by Lori Zozzolotto (Breakfast in Hawaii), Wendy Oughtred (There Goes the Neighbourhood) and Valerie King (Salvation Road) were produced. Salvation Road was Val’s first play. Other members of our group directed and acted in these plays.

Page to Stage consisted of rehearsed staged readings of seven short plays by our members and other local area playwrights: Michael Brown, Jerrold Karch, Douglas V. Lintula, George Marciniak, Wendy Oughted, Gary J. Sled and Lori Zozzolotto.

Probus Event February 2019
In February 2019, Stage Write Burlington was invited to present two staged readings for a Probus Women’s meeting. This was held at the Burlington Art Gallery and was very well received by a large audience. Plays produced were Tobermory or Bust by Douglas Lintula and Speed Dating by Wendy Oughtred.
Waterdown Arts Festival 2018
In August 2018, Stage Write Burlington was invited to present staged readings of two of our short plays. This was part of the Waterdown Arts Festival held in the downtown area of Waterdown. Our group performed staged readings of two plays: Tobermory or Bust by Douglas Lintula and Speed Dating by Wendy Oughtred. The readings were held in the newly renovated Village Theatre.WaterdownArtsFest2018

Members of Stage Write Burlington were involved in the 2018 production of Entertaining Shorts. George Marciniak was the executive producer and also contributed his short play, Flight of the Dodo. Also produced were plays by Wendy Oughtred (The Butterfly) and Douglas Lintula (Uncle Ted).
